Headlight Replacement Problems

I have a 2006 Prius and recently attempted to replace the HID headlight. I was able to remove the old light and get the new one clipped in but the lead cover that connect to the light slid down inside its housing. It seems that lead cover (not sure exactly what to call it) runs inside a tube that goes towards the grill. As I was trying to pull it out to connect to the light, it slide inside the housing where it came from. I cannot reach it now and have no idea how to get it out. Has this happened to anyone? Any tips or suggestions would be great, thanks!
