Hi I’m Ryan, I picked up my 2010 prius 3(I think, the title just says prius but… it has heated seats and leather, with no camera or nav so I’m guessing 3 on my best estimate)
But anywho, I’ve gotten used to stealth camping in it..(i just use custom cut reflextix window covers most of the time) but recently, I’ve started roof top tent camping. While I appreciate having the vehicle fully enclosed, my neighbor loaned me a RTT(roof top tent) that he owned and wasn’t using, I enjoy it, but I can see the utility in a different style of RTT, but this is what I have ATM(at the moment)..

I had plans to purchase the Prius Off road lift kit, and tires(probably wheels too since the factory alloys look like shit and would need repair due to the surface corrosion) as well as new springs and struts.

Just reaching out into the Void to see if anyone else is in progress, completed, or willing to share experience/knowledge to help.

my last build was a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT, with house battery/backup system powered off 200w solar panels mounted to the roof of the truck, the whole system powered a 60L powered cooler, and extended the battery back the the bed, that I had an extended Height cap setup for a camper with 12v and usb ports.

I am not afraid of 95% of the work I want to do, But I’m smart enough to ask for help.. so anyone have any advice? I’m REALLY REALLY debating getting a Crown Solux or A Chevy Trax(i get a lot of chevy rebates).. so I can justify 4-8k on the prius.. so long as I’m happy with it.. but If I can find a 2010 Prius 5 with lane keep and radar cruse… I’m in…

    Thanks for your time!
    Ryan.
