Any suggestions? I want all or most of the bells and whistles. What should I be looking for? Must have low miles. Thanks!

Where are you located? Do you currently own an 05? Is it 18k plus the 05 or will you keep the 05?

What's important on your bells and whistles list? That could be anything from a Prius 3 to a Prius 5

There's a generation II 2007 prius for sale with 36,000 miles on it. He wants 13k. What are your thoughts? Bells and whistles are actually simple things like Navigation, Bluetooth, Backup camera. Would also like leather but not a requirement.

The 2007 will run into the problem of possibly needing a HV battery in the near future, that will be $3000+ for a new one. The mileage seems low enough that the car should last a long time.

If I had $18,000 to spend on a car, I probably would look for a GenIII car (2010+)

With the low mileage do you think I run the risk of needing a new battery with this car or because of the low mileage the battery might last a long time. I'm a little confused. You probably are too after reading this post (I confused myself with this one).

There is really no written rule on how long the battery will last. We have seen some here that have failed even with low mileage. The good thing is you are in CA, which has a 10 year/150k miles warranty on the battery. So if you buy the 2007, it would be warrantied until 10 years or 150k......about 3 years of worry free driving left(on the HV battery)
