Thinking I might get a Prius so have been searching "used" as I can't afford a new one (thanks GFC) and I keep coming across the word "UPGRADE" referring to MY06 versions. Mean anything to anyone?

Got the answer reading one of Danny's posts. Looks like I've got a tad more researching to do...didn't know Prius was "Upgraded" for MY06, should have twigged.

OK, next question, did the MY06 upgrade help to reduce the road noise I've been reading here?

GFC = Global Financial Crisis, seems to have been caused by some naughty people in a little street in lower Manhattan.

right. never saw those initials before, thanks. you should take some test drives and experience the road noise first hand. sometimes, it's the type of pavement you're on. you can mitigate it by installing low noise tires such as michelin energy savers. see tirerack.com for test results on many different brands. hope you make a speedy recovery from the gfc, all the best!
