The tiny plastic part that connects the middle vane to the vent frame assembly (the whole center dash, per se) broke.

Called Toyota and they said they on sell the whole darn dash.

I just need the center vane; the one that controls the direction of air travel.

My plans, if I can't find a part or assembly of parts smaller than the whole center dash, will be to bend some METAL in the shape of the broken plastic part and insert that into the vane where I will have already drilled a corresponding hole to accommodate it.

Images of that I am talking about. Thanks in advance to anyone that might be able to help me locate one.

    2. The part number of the center instrument panel assembly is 55405-47030-B0. MSRP is $178, Champion Toyota - Houston sells it for $136 plus shipping.

Thanks. I was thinking/hoping I might find a Prius at a salvage lot. Might take a bit of time. Do any have on-line searching?

LKQ online has several yards connected via internet. Email them and hope for the best.
