Today when I was driving to work I noticed that my MPG calculator didn't now change. It stayed at 48.6 through my 30 minute drive to work. I though it was a glitch and would go back to normal. I was driving back home and it stayed and 48.6, it didn't change whatsoever. Has this happened to anyone else? Should I take it to the dealership?

This has happened to me twice over one year span. It went back to normal on both occassions after I refilled the gas. I don't know why but the gas refill worked.

Are you sure you're on ODO, and not on one of the Trip meters? My Trip B, for example, has tracked my average mpg for the life of the car. It certainly wouldn't change on any single commute (in fact, it hasn't change in months). Press the Trip button to cycle through ODO, Trip A, and Trip B.

Remember the mpg indication is the mpg overall SINCE YOUR trip odometer was reset. If yo have never rest it and it has a few thousand miles since restting it will require a dramatic change in actual instantaneous mpg. And you can't zero reset the total mileage.
Try resetting it on the steering wheel for one or both trip registers and check mpg for changes; there will be a dratatic change but wait til it gets out 10 miles or more before believing it.
