    Hi Everyone

I have a 2006 Toyota Prius and apparently, the check engine light came on not long ago.
I took it to Toyota service and turned out that the DC inverter needs replacing :( They quoted me over £2000 to get it fixed(they would charge £900 for 3 hours labor..), so now I'm looking for a cheaper option.
Do you know any garages in the west midlands area where my car can be fixed? I'm registered in most of the "mechanics needed" sites but no luck :(
    Please help :(

Wow! Is £300 per hour really the going rate in the UK?

Do you have another choice of service centre? One option to make it cheaper is sourcing a second-hand inverter from a breaker and having an independent hybrid mechanic install it.
