Hey everyone...thanks in advance for your help! I'm looking to get my first Prius and would prefer to buy used so I'm not taking the depreciation hit. I also want a 4th Gen to get the newest tech and best MPG. Found a used Prius and just wanted some input on whether it's a good deal or if you think I can get it for better.

    Used 2016 Prius 2
    Non-Toyota Dealer in AZ
    40,000 miles
    Clean Carfax
    Price is $17,500

    Thanks!

FWIW......I would think you might find a late 2017 with the safety upgrades for similar $'s ......

Do you mean late 2015? I don't see too many used 2017's online

Looking a little deeper, it was titled as a rental car. That would definitely explain the high miles in such a short amount of time. Might not be that hot of a deal...

people have different takes on rentals. i shy away, but they say the maintenance is excellent, and prius can take the abuse. or, people who rent prius don't abuse them?
either way, i think i would offer a low ball price if i was at all interested.

What do you think an appropriate low ball would be? $16K?
