Had a couple bad cell in my 2006 Prius, with 151000 miles. Bought a re-con battery pack and installed it. Now the car wont start, it would reonize the key. It only powers up in the stanby mode when the key is inserted into the dash.

Do I have to do some kind of system reset to get the car the repond?

There are a number of posts here about pushing the battery connector up to get it completely and finally locked into position. That last click is critical.

Yep - I had the same experience with that fancy fuse holder safety interconnect thing-a-majig.

However, after that I also got error code AA4 which was "Negative Contactor Stuck". I took it out and put it on a 12 V battery on the bench and it clunked open and shut a couple of times. I put it back in and all went well...

When you got a refurbed pack was it a complete package including all the battery Computer and SMR gubbins?

What did you do with your old pack?

Okay, will try restting the plug handle, and I have my old battery pack. Trying to figure out if I will rebuild it and then sell it. Or maybe, add it back as an additional battery pack? I am sure someone has done this already? My son wants to modify the battery pack and then add it to his electric golf cart - ha, ha.

Cleaning out the garage and found the old battery pack. Any interested in it? As long as my latest issue is not a battery problem, I need to get rid of it.
