Found some threads from way back in 2012, but nothing current...

Anyone know of a kit to add more battery capacity to a 2012-15 PIP? If I could go 30 miles on a charge I wouldn't burn any gas in my day-to-day, but every extra wh means a little less gas burned.

I know, I know, the Prius Prime, but that is still too expensive for me.

    Not practical.
It likely would "upset" the battery handling computer, both for driving and charging.
And the cost of the additional battery probably wouldn't be recovered during the remaining life of the car, if you only use a few ounces of gas a day in your normal commute.
AND leaving the gas in the tank too long is not good either.

unfortunately, there are no kits. there are a few who have done their own systems iirc, but it is hugely complicated, an extreme labor of love, and takes up more hatch space as well

This is the forum where I started and is the information about my project:

It does not allow me to post links! I think I'm very new to this chat ... You can search the web for "Mi Toyota prius "Fabricacion Pack ampliacion bateria"
Someone who has more time here can post it for me.

It is a forum in Spanish, but you can use the google web translator.

How did you connect this additional battery to the car?

The Nex packs are for a normal Prius, not a Plugin. As fare as I know NexPower does not sell packs for the Plugin.
