    I was expecting them to cost quite a bit more. Current 750GB go for about $340-$450 for oem.

    5 platters, unlike Seagates that will have four, and be available a few months later.

    I like the higher areal density and less platters, for faster access and I'd guess better reliability, other things being equal.

    Wouldn't it be better with 4 platters and 8 heads? Then just read from all heads at once, giving you one byte of data. Though I'm not sure how they read the data.
