With the prices you pay for petrol, I can imagine you're excited. Welcome and enjoy the site, I think you will find it very helpful.

Thank you all for making me feel welcome. I am worried because of all the techy stuff in the car, that I will be concentrating on the power band and the graph and the screen that shows that the car is driven by electric motors/ice, rather than just driving it as a normal car.... and I guess I have read the forum just a little bit too much and I am already thinking about blocking the radiator grill, buying a engine block heater....

I was the same way for the first couple of months and then I realized just what it was doing to me. I still am aware of what is going on read-out wise but I mostly just drive it.

dinku, welcome to PC from a fellow Britt.

Not long now till your new car arrives with all that fuel saving.

I do not think a block heater in the UK is worthwhile with our high electric prices although you will obviously be using economy 7. The block heaters as I understand are 500 watts and need to be on for about 4 hrs, so it is difficult to see where the savings will be although instant heat in the winter may make up for this.

Enjoy your new ride and let us know your thoughts on it.

I was just about to say the same as Britprius about the block heater.
Also, it doesn't really get cold enough here for one.
