My Prius is an '06, Option 6.

Has anyone figured a way to keep the mirror from moving after pressing one of the garrage door operner buttons? I've had it back to the local dealer and he says he has tightened the clamp (screw) but beyound that there is nothing he can do. It stays tight for a few days and then needs to be retightened. Does anyone have a REAL fix?

I put my hand behind the mirror so it's more squeezing rather than pushing.

If I understand the problem, and it relates to how often you are able to screw, then I would suggest Viagra. If you need some sources, just drop me a line. According to my email inbox, I am on the A List.

[rimshot]... that Viagra comment was really reaching. As far as I can tell the only motivation there was the word "screw."

Anyway, aaf709 uses basically my method: I push the button with my thumb, but hold the mirror in place with my fingers, so basically squeezing the mirror so it doesn't move.

It seems like a pretty strange design, considering how hard you have to press the buttons, and you have to hold them down for a second or two as well.

 That's why I use the IGNORE function for some forum members.
