    does anyone know if my new 06 did not come with the home link is it possble to upgrade to it or is it something that has to be done during manufacturing.

    It's difficult due to the wiring that goes by the side airbag, but yes, it's possible. Mine came with it, but others have had it installed. You'd have to do a search here to find them.

    Yes, but it costs over $200 for the part alone. Do you really want it that bad?

    it comes with an electrochromatic mirror though. I don't think they sell Homelink buttons on their own. Those would be OEMs (like the gen 1 Solara and Avalons, Gen 5 Camrys)
