I talked to a Honda salesman who proudly proclaimed Honda doesn't sell their cars to fleets for rental because 'Honda is a lower volume company and not renting keeps Honda values higher'. And 'Toyota is a mass seller and people will buy a year old car with 20k miles which lower resale values, blah, blah.'

A quick glance through Craigslist of 2010 Camry LE and 2010 Accord LX seems to show Honda values acutally a little less than Honda's. Pretty darn sure Cam LE and Acc LX are both the basic models.

So, if you just want to go out and have fun for a day or few in a Honda, you're out of luck. Only way you get to drive one is by - buying, leasing, test driving with your friendly salesperson, or borrowing.

    Isn't Honda special.
