Hood Open Message

Hi:
We've owned this 2016 since it was new. Wife drove it until last month when she got a 2024. There is a hood open message. The hood has a very slight open feel and no resistance from the inside hood open latch. The two under the hood rubber adjustment 'screws' are as raisied as much as possible. Never had damage to this car. It seems to me that if the hood latch could be lowered that might solve the problem. I'm not worried that the hood will suddenly open!!. I aoppreciate any help with this. Thanks, Don
