My dealer has ordered a new hot coolant transfer pump for my Prius (@ 31,300 kms). This will be the first time their Prius tech will be installing one, and the service manager is unsure how long the job actually will take (he's talking about possibly needing to have the car for a day or two).

If you've had the pump replaced, roughly how long did it take?

you need to remove the inverter to do it, DH can do one in about an hour.

Depends on which "coolant transfer pump" you're talking about. Many dealer confuse them. Inverter, coolant heat storage system, or heater core?

When I shut my car off or turn it on, the coolant pump to the thermos is pretty loud. I'm interested to know how long it will take as well.
