HOUSE GATES MALFUNCTIONING -PRIUS DID IT?

    Hi y'all!
    We've an electronic gate system at the house with 3 PriII(?) on the property and a New Beetle(2002) and I feel like the gate is malfunctioning because of Prius.
    Whenever I'm driving the Beetle and I click to open the gate I can do so with ease from about a block away it seems-no problem. However the Prius is totally not simple. I have to click a gazillion times or hold down excessively and as of late the gate itself is totally not having it- the alarm blaring and everything. Had to hand crank it with a giant Allen wrench. Kinda fun.
    I was wondering if anybody else has this issue or something like it. I have a 2007 -there are 3other 2010 to 2016.
    I realize it sounds bizarre but one day I was outside in the carport OUTSIDE of the vehicles in between the Beetle and the Prius and the gate started opening.
    I thought: somebody must be coming home.
    Nobody came.
    Then it began closing by itself and started doing this stutter-step to and fro.
    I had to verbally check my position.
    No. Not in car.
    No. Hands empty. Clicker-nope
    No. You're not crazy.
    Yup. This just happened.

    I feel that your "feelings" in this matter are irrelevant; you need some EVIDENCE. (Quote from Judge Judy !!) :ROFLMAO:

    IF.....you have a different gate remote in your two vehicles, try switching them.

    The Force is obviously strong in at least one of those Prii.

    Has any of them gone to the "Dark Side".......or is it the Beetle that's become a bit of a Sith?

    Meditate on the matter, you must. Only then, a solution will you find....

    have you tried wrapping the remote in tin foil to block the RF and microwave signal?
    it works in hats ..

    if that fails park a few hundred yards away run up to the gate pushing the button as it opens run back to the car and speed trough.

    good luck on your mission if you chose to accept it

    Might be because the link you've posted has ID data which is linked directly to you or your browser. It doesn't follow the convention of a normal YouTube link.......

    Yes, I am in the UK. Hmmm, that might be the case, but I was unaware that YouTube was restricting videos to certain parts of the world.
