    Dear All,

I want to bypass the Prius 1999 NiMH battery
and use the Prius as a 100% petrol car.
(Had enough problems with that battery)

Any info will be greatly appreciated!

    Carlos.

We (or at least I) don't know that much about the NHW10 (your car) but on the NHW11 and beyond, the HV battery is an integral part of the car. It's what starts the ICE (internal combustion engine), for one.

I also don't know how you'd provide power for MG1 and MG2 (see Toyota Prius - Power Split Device). You might want to skim some of the hybrid articles at AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICAL ARTICLES, but these were written to cover the NHW11 (01-03 Prius) and NHW20 (04-09 Prius)...
