I am about to buy some used winter tires/wheels off someone who doesn't know the sizing of them. All we know is they are 185/65/15 but the offset and lug spacing and center bore of the rims are unknown. We do not know the original vehicle they came from.

Can I mount these to my prius to test fit them? I'm concerned about the lug spacing, for example I need 5x100mm but if these are 5x114.3 will they still bolt on and give the illusion of fitting? How about offset, if I put them on the front wheels and drive them around, and there is no rubbing can I assume they are good?

Are they black steel rims? Are there any stamped numbers on the rims? I'll post some pics of what's on mine, which are Corolla steel rim, part no: 42611-02471 (2003-2008 corolla or matrix, CE, LS, S)
