I have winter tires mounted on steel rims, so the tire pressure warning light always is on. I took the car to my dealer to have noise suppression kit for the auxiliary outlet installed. Driving home, I noticed that the warning light was off.

I assume that the technician had a way to reset the light, even though the transmitters for my car were more than 50 kms away. Does anyone know how it was done?

Probably used the Toyota diagnostic laptop (Panasonic ToughBook) to disable it.

There is no reason why Toyota can't allow two sets of TPMS sensors to allow a different set of winter tires. The US market LandCruiser has this feature
