A little help I just received my Scangauge II today through prius chat. Hooked it up and while under ice throttle it stays on but when I either attemp pulse and glide or straight stealth mode it shuts off? I am in process of reading instructions but if someone can help me out I would appreciate it!

It says something like Gas Diesel Hybrid, choose Hybrid, if you leave it on Gas it thinks the engine turning off is the end of the world.

Yes, I believe it goes SETUP - FUEL - TYPE - HYBRID (or so!) from the main menu.

Just read the instructions carefully on fillups, so you know how the whole process works (the first time is different than the other fillups). That will help calibrate it to precise mpg readings over several tanks. Mine was reading quite high at first.

Set it to HYBRID mode. It's in the manual.

You will however have to search out the X- Gauge codes. They are quite handy, and once you program them in, very useful!

Where will I find the x gauge codes? in manual or in this forum?

Linear Logic publishes very few XGauge values for the Prius. I've asked at http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-ii-...t-gen-ii-xgauges-scangauge-3.html#post1309196 about whether the Gen 2 list is still being updated. That's a starting point for you... Do update that thread if you find out the answer.

If you're going to use the Google doc spreadsheet, completely ignore the Prius Gen III tab. None (or almost none) of those codes will work. You'll be wasting your time entering them.

You might also find http://priuschat.com/forums/gen-ii-...angauge-best-threads-mileage-improvement.html helpful.
