How do I post to "attn to" posts?

    Not always the brightest bulb here. I see lots of those @XXXX things here to, I guess grab attention of a certain person, although I always get a notice when I sign in when a person posts to a thread I posted in.

    So, can someone explain to me how to do this?

    You just type @ and then start typing their username. So if I type "@SteveW", I'll get a list of usernames beginning with "@SteveW". Then I just click on the one I want.

    So then I click on the "Stevewoods" from the list, and - tada! - I have an @Stevewoods link there. That should pop up in your alerts, saying "You were mentioned" or something, with a link.
