    Hi All !

I recently bought Husky Liners for my GIII 2, and want to remove the floor mat hooks so that the Huskies fit better. I've pulled, twisted, tried to unscrew, etc, etc, and they don't seem to want to move. It seems that there's a ring in the carpet, and the floor mat hook fits into the ring, or maybe is part of the ring.

Any ideas ? I don't want to break or tear anything.

    Thanks

    REV

Just went through this last week (same reason, too)

The problem was the temperture (in the 20's) in my unheated garage. It made them really stiff and difficult.
A panel removal tool should work, but, lacking one I used a pair of needle-nose pliers to "pinch" the two prongs together and lift them staight out.

    Hope this helps....

Same temps here too Danvee. They're stiff as molasses in January.

Thanks for the tip ... I actually DO have a panel removal tool.

I got the grey mats and cargo liner for the dark grey interior and I absolutely LOVE them. The match is perfect. I almost got the black ones, and I'm really glad I didn't now that I've seen them.

I went with the black Huskys for the Bisque interior as the factory mats were black...
I'll probably get the grey cargo liner though...

Good luck prying those puppies out ;)

    Take Care,

Very simple! First unhook and separate the mat from the two hooks. Press the tail-end prong with a small flat head screwdriver - bend the hook-unit while unlatching the prong. It should pop out.
