    SORRY GUYS --- I'm shutting this down due to lack of interest -- I already shelled out the money to buy one.

    I'm working on setting up a bulk deal (100 pieces required) and I need to have an idea how many people will actually buy them.

    cost will be UNDER $35 shipped to your door (USA only, others more)

    1. power would come from license plate bulbs most likely or whatever you want to tap into.

    2. is the Gen II emblem the exact same size as Gen III? I have no clue, but there's your answer.

    I would assume the source would be LED? I think I would be interested but the cost would be the clincher.

    blue lights like this on the FRONT of the car are pretty much a no-no, I guess because people might think they're associated with a police car or something? -- I know this because my son was stopped for having LED blue windshield washer nozzles.

    that's why I'm saying for the back emblem only....and even so, I will ask about having a white or whiter version (6K?)


    definitely LED, and right now I'm estimating the cost at about $35 shipped.

    So you would have to drill a hole in the car to pass the wires through. This is the part I don't like.

    Can somebody with a Gen II confirm if-

    1. There are holes holding the badge like the Gen III
    2. The Gen II rear badge is the same size as the Gen III

    Many of the eastern states require only red (amber for turn signals) lights be displayed on the rear of the vehicle. The only exception is lighting for a license plate. Massachusetts will definitely pull you over with any blue light showing on the car.

    I would think that a red back-lit emblem would be legal country-wide.

    It could be on a manual switch, connected to the brake lights.

    Any chance of that?

    Hmm... that pic looks like the holes in the T emblem are filled with plastic and that it's illuminated from within. It's slightly different from the Japanese one in the other thread where the metal emblem is outlined in LED illumination.

    Hi Mike,

    If it had a radar, and blinked at tailgaters, and modulated its brightness based on closing speed, I would be interested....

    not sure yet if its the entire emblem or something that goes behind your current emblem....will advise.
