Looking for suggestions as to how much to ask for my '05 Salsa #6.

I haven't been able to sell my Audi and just don't need it and the Prius. I plan to advertise both. If the Audi goes, that will be great. If the Prius goes first, I'll keep working on selling the Audi. When the Audi finally goes, I'll pick up a new Prius.

    Makes sense to me. :!:

I suggest going to an online place like autotrader or carsearch and enter the information as if you were trying to buy one. That would give you the going rate, or at least a good estimate.

    Thanks for the response.

The on-line sources I've looked at so far don't show any '05s yet.

If it were me, I'd start selling at MSRP, or best offer. Maybe subtract a few bucks depending on mileage. But all things being equal, I would think that you should be able to sell an '05 Prius at near what you paid. Check your local Toyota dealers. If they have Prii on their lot, your resale just dropped. If they don't, hold firm on th price.

Try Edmunds.com. They appraise a private sale fully equipped 2005 Prius at hi 23K.

I always wonder. If you were to sell the Prius and have the EV mod. Do you tell the new owners about it or not? Would they be enthusiastic to learn about it or would they refuse your car because it has something that they think will void the warranty (we're assuming they're regular folk)

I would remove it and put it on my new Prius.

I ran into (not literally) a Prius owner the other day and was excitedly telling him how to do the NAV override. He could have cared less.

Moral: Not everyone is as interested in or cares about the goodies as much as I do.

Problem is, there are wire taps. I can't remove those. Unless I can remove the head and not the whole tap itself. I think that's pretty hard to do. Well, I'm not selling the car but you know, eventually, I'll have to trade it in for a new one and ya....
