    Hey all!

I went to the local Toyota dealership the other day, and found a used Prius that I really liked.

It was a 2012 Prius 2 Base, with around 27k miles on it.

I ended up paying 21k flat for it (not including taxes and other fees), with its list price being about 22k.

It was in beautiful condition with minor scratches and whatnot. Of course, there is a 100k / 2019 warranty that came with it.

I know I could've done better, but I want to see what you think it should've been worth.

    Thanks!

P.S this one didn't include any packages for GPS, Backup Camera, etc.

It's a great car with an extended warranty for a reasonable price ... end of story.

You might could have done better, but that would depend on where you are.
If you're on the left coast (especially in SoCal) then Priuses are a helluva lot mroe expensive than they are in the rust belt where people don't drive as much, and they're mostly interested in trying to eat and sleep indoors.

    Here's the thing.
    Prius drivers worry too much.
    About EVERYTHING.

    Don't.
Put the giveacrap switch in the don't position and get to know the car.
Read the manual. Read through the forum. Then?
Just relax and drive the car.
27K on a car that's pretty much guaranteed to give you ten times that much is nothing.
Your car isn't even properly broken in yet!

    Yeah.
You might have gotten the same car for a little bit less money, but it's too late to beat yourself up about it and you know what???
There's going to be another gas price spike before this Summer....or I'm not half as smart as I think I am.
    Then?
You'll be glad you bit when you did.

    Good Luck!
    Welcome Aboard!

Two years ago I paid 21K for my new (2 miles on it) 2011 2 base. Now the prices of the new ones (list are up about $500 since then) and the extended warranty (if Toyota brand not 3rd party) is worth something, how much is up to you. I do agree with you I think you overpaid, probably could have had a new one for less than 23k. If your going to keep it for 200k miles, it will work out ok.

I don't think you overpaid at all. Considering I paid sticker and 4000 with loan/taxes for my prius... you got a great deal. I probably could have paid about 1000k less. thats about it though.

It doesn't matter now since you already bought it...just drive it and enjoy it.
