My dealer wanted $198 for it. I didn't do it yet. Wanted to check prices first.
So how much did it cost you?

i am also calling around, i am from sunnyvale, ca - sf bay area.

    called around to 4 dealers

    so far i got:

    toyota sunnyvale - 129.95
    steven creek - left vm
    putname toyota - 134.95
toyota palo alto - 364 ?????(Wth?)

why so expensive? what happend to the days when oil change only cost $20???

do we really need all the stuff they are saying they do to the car?
or a simple oil change would do?

    thanks!

Ask them what's being done and how much each item being done is.

I got a $21.95 coupon for oil change + 25 point checks. For tire rotation, I did it at a tire place for $10. Dealer wanted something close to $100 if I do oil change and tire rotation.

For 15000 miles the manual asks for more than just an oil change and tire rotation.
I paid $67 for oil change and rotation.
I don't have the manual in front of me so can't tell you exactly what has to be done just know that it's more than just oil and tire.

It amazes me how big of a spread there can be with various dealerships.

Once I questioned Antioch Toyota why their service cost so much more and they said because they do more than what's on the required checklist, which just caused me to take my vehicle elsewhere.
