This you must listen to.... :)

I follow an Italian forum where between Prius owners there is a taxi driver.

This taxi driver met one of his colleages which has a Prius and asked how things are going.

The reply was "awful: the battery is always red and the car drinks like a ferrari....."

Surprised, my friend asked him how he drives. The reply left him (and us) amazed:

"The dealer told me that I have to put in in B to accelerate and in N to brake or when I'm not moving - so not to ruin the gear box!"

Fortunately my fried gave him the right way of driving a Prius.... B)

I think maybe the dealer was trying to sabotage future Prius sales. Have this guy ruin his car and then pass the word on how the Prius sucks.

Did he buy his Prius used at a GM dealer?

I think it would be valuable and interesting to get back in touch with that person in six months and ask for an update on his situation.

Though I'm willing to bet that you wouldn't need to wait that long.

Being in Italy, it would be a used FIAT dealer!

I will update you as soon as my friend meets his colleage again.

C'mon now, who would buy an 'automatic' car which you had to constantly shift? I can't tell whether to file this under 'gullible people' or in my 'jokes' file.
