How to swap out the Temperature Control Unit on 2015 Prius 2

    Hey all, I found how to remove the Radio, but everyone stops there.. My Temp Unit lens is "muddy" I think from the previous owner.. Anyone have any experience or videos on how to safely get this unit out ??? ty..don

    LOL.. No, the screen looks like it was "burnt" or something.. Even alcohol wipes wouldn't clean it off...LOL

    If it sat out in the sun a lot and/or in a hot garage, it just burned it out from the heat.
    My brother Jetta is like that. Everything is functional, just no display.

    Use your fingers, no tools needed, pop off the trim pieces around it, then pop it out, and squeeze and unplug the electrical plug into the back of it.

    The first trim piece to pop is the triangular one around the shifter. It's the one holding down the others. Then you've got the cup-holder-and-up-the-side piece, and the around-the-radio piece.

    Novus #2 plastic polish might clean it right up with no other fuss, if you haven't tried.
