Looking at a 2010 Prius that the dealer marked as a Prius I, but I'm thinking it might be mislabeled. I know the Prius I doesn't have EV mode, but is it supposed to have the EV button? Can I tell this from the VIN somehow as well?

    Thanks!

I believe so? It has a stalk on the right-hand of the steering wheel that says "+ Res" and "- Set"

Odd, I thought all Prius had an ev button for ev mode?
Either way, the cars vin is searchable on the net.
    Vindecoder.com or carfax.com/vin.cfx

The vin is on the driver door.

If I remember correctly, there was a Prius I which was a fleet car. It was the only way to get a white car that was not "Blizzard White". Is this a plain white car?

I'm not entirely sure but I think I heard that a Prius one doesn't have a rear wiper.

The lowest model on the 2010 Priuses that was available to the public was the II, which I have. Perhaps there was a I sold to fleets, but I've never heard of that before.

You're right - that was a good telltale sign. Was able to confirm it was a II. Thanks!

When I was shopping for my pre-owned Prius, most were listed as Prius I. Don't know why. Mine is a also a II.
