2.5L/100km is 94mpg. 5.0L/100km is 47mpg.

3.6L/100km is 65mpg

All in US mpg.

The 30 mins is the exact same route as the one above a few days ago. It's amazing how traffic can affect mileage.

3.9L/100km is 60mpg US or 72mpg Imp.

Technically, I travel that road pretty much every weekday since I got the car. That's how I manage to stay > 50mpg (< 4.7L/100km). I haven't gotten that high (low) in a loooong time. I've been below 4.3L/100km (55mpg) all summer.

I'm going along that route again (it's 3.7 right now). I'll see if I can mimic it haha.

Well done!!
It will be the cold start that kills it I find. I can get down there then have a cold start the next day and that great mileage goes down the toilet. I also have a pretty good hill near home that I have to climb on my way home, that's a heart breaker.
I got all excited when my average L/100km dropped from 4.2 to 4.1 but then I had to climb that stupid hill, back up it went. I need to fill up soon with 2 bars left on this tank, just hanging for the petrol price to come down a bit.

It will be interesting to see how your fuel consumption is going toward the end of the tank.

4.2 is very good patsparks.

To get 4.2 or lower, I have to work at it. It's at 3.8L/100km right now. 3 short trips killed it >.<.

ugh.. it's now sitting at 3.9L/100km (60mpg) and hanging on for dear life (It rose from 3.8 at the start of yesterday and I even saw 4.0L/100km for a while).

I'm 250kms into the tank now.

Press the km/us button and grab a shot of both screens so those of us who dont use metric have a better idea where your 5 minute bars are. From the looks of the bars, it is hard to believe those numbers. I can normally have 15 minutes of 99.9 MPG on the screen yet only average 51 MPG. I had an instance of 15 minutes doing 50-60 MPH at 99 MPG. Wish I could have grabbed a shot of that.

Great figures,

I'm getting OK figures about 61mpg on a good run to work. The question is I get my best results when I regen as little as possible, glide on any slight down slope and slowly build the speed back up to get the next down slope. Keep speed around 41mph even use natural on a long fast down hill (get to about 53mph before the up slope). Question how do you get so much regen with such a good mpg? you must be braking or coasting.

Thanks
Gary

Err... that button only changes the speedo, nothing else. If you can't convert, that says 60mpg (US) :p.

wow..50mph at 99mpg.. nice.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(gazz @ Sep 11 2007, 01:23 PM) </div>
I P&G.. mostly glide since that was on the way home and has 5 uphill sections.

That's not a lot of regen I think. Those are mostly traffic light stops regens (which means I'm getting as much as I can back every time I stop at the light).

There's one stretch near the end. It's about a kilometre or two and ever so slightly downhill. That's where I get my maximum gain because I can glide the entire way.

Well, here's the final results after one week.

I'm starting to hate the blinking light. It doesn't matter if I do 3.9 or 4.5, I always end up pumping around 800 because the light comes on around then. I know I can do 1000kms but driving on the light is stressful because you don't know if the computer's going to be an a** and shut off early. I know I have lots of fuel remaining (and the pump shows.. I pumped 33.651 litres.. the tank is 45 litres!!!!)

Argh!

But anyway, at least now I can say I matched Transport Canada's 4.0L/100km AND EPA's 60mpg (3.9L/100km)

[attachmentid=11402]

Oh and for the record, the calculated mileage is 3.92L/100km so it's dead on. In fact, it's been dead on for the last 3 tanks. (4.4 vs. 4.39, 4.2 vs. 4.24)

I have 40, yes I said 40 sets of traffic lights to contend with on my 35km commute each way, yes 80 sets of lights a day, minimum. I'll struggle to get much lower than 4.2 - 4.3 but struggle I will.
