Toyota requires a zero-point calibration after alignments. Up until now, most independent shops were unable to perform this step since it required a higher-end scan tool or the factory scan tool. But now, the newer Hunter alignment racks have the ability to perform the zero-point calibration without the need for any scan tool since the capability is now built-in to the alignment console. So, now anyone should be able to have a proper alignment performed at a location other than the dealer. Also, the Hunter software will prompt the tech and let them know automatically if a VSC reset is needed.
