    Hi people,

I got access to toyota's diagnostic and I can read the internal resistance of battery blocks, as reported from the battery ecu.

Can we make any assumption about how worn my battery is based on the resistance of the blocks? I will post values later.

    Thanks in advance.

    PS: It's a 2004 Prius with 130k miles.

Ok, got the values. Each block has an internal resistance of 0.019 to 0.02 ohms.

I would not guess that the IR values will present a linear change with age, so it might be hard to know just what the battery health is. It would be the divergence of the values that would concern me most. Also, those values will change with amperage and temperature. You might try getting data during a drive when things are warmed a bit, and current is high.
