HV electric water pump 'recall' replaced in 2014=How long will this 'recall' water pump last?

    How long will this 'recall' water pump last?

    I think general consensus is that you never know, but 80-100k miles seems to be the sweet spot for pre-emptively swapping one out for new. Only costs about $70 to do it DIY.

    The lowest price "OEM" I could find on ebay today was $82 which I ordered. I use quote marks because who really knows if it's OEM as fakes are numerous nowadays and extremely hard to tell from the real product. Chinese knockoff's on ebay are now in the $40 range!

    But anyhow, I'm changing mine on a time-frame not miles basis as a preventative measure and will keep the old one (the replacement from the recall) as a backup.
