As you may have seen in the dealers and pricing forum, I'm thinking about getting a 2005 Prius. I like the extra "hybrid" badging that was added in 2006. Anyone know if there's a way to buy them somewhere? I know some people hate them and take them off; is there anyone with a spare set who wants to send them to me? :D

Your all talk and no action. I know you have been posting about it for a good while now.

Here are 2 versions of the HEMI badge for cheap.

    $16 HEMI Badge

    $27.50 HEMI 215 Badge

I want to see one on your car soon! :D

efusco's link is the only place I can think of (aside from Carson Toyota in Cali and JapanParts.com from Japan).

I'd suggest if you want to order from Sigma, combine orders. i.e. figure out what you wanna buy and buy them all at the same time. He uses Global Express as the courier and it's $30 shipping to Canada (The emblems are US$42 I think) so... yeah, you might as well pay shipping once.

If you happen to go to California in the United States you can go to the Hanlees Toyota at Hilltop and they can order the side badge emblem thing.

And (since you can't actually rev the engine in a Prius) I want a Harley-Davidson sound generator connected to the accelerator pedal.

    Vroooom vroooom!

You should be able to get/order them from any Toyota parts department...but call around to several dealers as prices frequently are not standardized even in the same metro area.

    It's funny 'cause it's true. :D
There are a lot of things I want: BT plate, Plug-in abilities, LIon batteries. I suppose I should see if I can get a friend of mine who owns a body shop to order a HEMI badge for me. That is, for less than $16. I'm all talk, but when there is action, it's as cheap as the talk.

Haha, people are always telling me to check around at different dealers for various things... I should put a disclaimer in my signature to indicate that there's only one toyota dealer within 1000 km of my "metro area".

Really? That would be great, but I can't find any mention of it on the website.

I'd imagine that an online search would reveal lots of competitive sources for these badges. Wouldn't they be needed by any body shop for a repair?

    Pinto Girl-
Boy sometimes when I read these posts I think that the posters are actually kids pretending to own a car. Questions like I want a new emblem....; need to change my oil what do I do? Dealer says to idle the car for five minutes to cool down the turbines before shutting down - should I?; tire is low on air, do I need to take it to the dealer to fill it with Toyota air; my gas gauge says the tank is getting low what do I do.....; someone hit may car, should I have it repaired? I don't know, maybe some people just missed the common sense option when their brains were wired. Have a good day-

To be honest, I wouldn't have a clue either if I didn't know about Sigma.

Also, the autobody shops would get it from Toyota.

Toyota Canada won't sell us emblems, trust me.

Sorry- Did not mean to be rude at all. It was just meant to point out that a lot of stuff is common sense stuff that if you have ever owned a car before you have likely dealt with. The fact it now happens on our Prius cars really makes no difference, except the turbine cool down of course :D To those who were offended, I am sorry.
