Featured Hybrid / EV / Plugin Insurance Costs

The mods will decide of course, but this might be sticky-worthy, since it could save some owners a ton of cash. We'll see if this has any legs.

Automotive Insurance is one of those costs of ownership elements we all need. Don't know why it didn't dawn on me decades before, but it might be advantageous to know what kind of deals are available for all of us. Maybe even nationwide as rates vary so much - but now that membership is in the 6 figures? Over the decades, Danny has worked some nice deals for extended warranties. So why not something similar for another fixed cost, namely, our insurance for our Eco rides.
Maybe some would like to offer up the cost of their car insurance, per 6 month windows? I'll start. We paid ~ $160/per 6/mo for the '04 prius (full coverage w/$1,000 deduct) .... $400/½yr for' 06 hybrid lexus (same deductible) - & $550/6mo for the 2017 SUV Tesla (same deductible & dual perfect driving records for both drivers). Our rates are based on 2 drivers, multiple car discounts, while a 3rd car can't be used simultaneously - & we each drive
< 11,000 miles/yr.
The trick is, when you have multiple discounts bundled with everything from homeowner's fire Insurance, as well as multiple car discounts & (& in our case) earthquake insurance, & homeowners + storm flood surge insurance, (& in our case) earthquake insurance, bundled with life insurance, long-term medical insurance, etc etc ... it becomes an actuarial nightmare trying to figure out what you would actually pay - but for all the bundling discounts possible. Who knows, maybe some simply do without.
Yikes! - the more I think about all the variables, it's no wonder insurance companies are able to keep all of us in the dark regarding fare rates.
