    Hi to all from Downunder.

I have just become the owner of a Gen 3 iTech. We also own Lexus CT200h and RX450h hybrids and I am sold on the efficiency and driving experience.

    Cheers

I completely agree. I'll go so far to say that I doubt I will ever own a non-hybrid vehicle again.

That would be great but I live in a rural town and need an absolute minimum of 350Km real world range to be useful. The Tesla would be great but I have doubts about their long term reliability (both vehicle and company) as well,as their affordability in Australia.

I was going to invite you to join the USA pro-Hybrid lobby group, but (1) there is none. and (2) you are from down under. Do they have incentives for hybrids and/or plug-ins down there?

Yes, but they are trivial. I get a $100 reduction in my annual registration for owning a hybrid. There are some purchase concessions for EVs but even a newish Nissan Leaf is about $35K.

Actually $100/year is not too bad.
