Hybrid System stop the vehicle in a safe place. Inverter was replaced not long ago?

Just wondering if anyone has had a repaced inverter fail again? I don't have a code reader and am afaraid to drive it even though the code went away when I start it now. The reason for that is the battery isn't looking like its charging at idle. Two bars remain. My gut says its been a long time that the 12v has been in there and likely the cause? Will the 12v not taking juice make it not charge the hybrid battery? If that's a thing i'll go grab a new 12v and see how it goes?
