I have a 2008 Precis with 77,840 miles. The auto runs well with no warning lights, but when I turn the ignition off and pull out the key fob, the red "hybrid system warning light" blinks quickly on and off, then remains off for about 2 seconds, and then quickly turns on and off again and repeats continuously. As soon as the ignition key fob is inserted the blinking warning light stops and remains off, even after the car is started and whether it is standing or driven. The car drives and handles well with no warning light appearing. But the blinking warning light re-appears again after the car is turned off and the fob is pulled out. Can someone diagnose this situation and let me know how to fix this problem? Is it safe to drive the car?
