    hi

Yesterday, I fogot to close the front door of my prius , Today when I want to drive the prius , I can not start it.

I am afraid there is no power in the battery.
What should I do? what is the problem?
If it refers to the battery, How can I charge the battery? or do I have to take the prius to Toyota 4S?

    thx so much.

the model of the prius is 2005 prius.

Jump your 12V battery. It should start.
Your owner's manual will walk you through the where and how.

You can just jump the battery. There is a positive connection (for the red jumper cable) in the fuse box under the hood and the black jumper cable gets hooked to any bolt (not in the fusebox) that is not painted and is connected to the body or engine. After you get it started, drive it around for about 1/2 hour.

Just be careful as connecting the jumper cables incorrectly (reversed positive/negative) can cause damage to Prius electronics.

Merged both threads the OP created in the Gen II and Gen III forums into one thread. (Now in the Gen II forum, maintenance and troubleshooting sub-forum, since the OP owns a 2005.)

30 minutes is not enough to fully-charge the 12V battery. That will take more like 8 hours. It is not necessary to actually drive around, just leave the car READY and make sure the fuel tank has sufficient fuel.
