My situation is a little different: I purchased the car with some help from my brother. I am about 12,000 miles away from the car but will be heading home soon to enjoy it. I got a great deal on the car $2500, but I cant figure out what trim level it has... Maybe you can tell from this interior pic?
I think its Level 2, because I think the far pillar has a marking on it that looks like JBL would be. So would that mean it has the 6-disk cd player in dash?
Looking at the steering wheel I dont see bluetooth, Nav... so that obviously eliminates trim 5 and 6, right?
So whats the chance that its Trim level 3?

The quarter panel does not have the "hybrid" emblem on it... which was on 2006... but who knows the original owner might have removed it, lost it... I dont know.
The front does not have the foglights.

I looked at the manual pdf.. and where it shows the location for the review mirror... it looks like its reverse of the picture in the manual.... its not on the left but on the right hand side is a marking for the rear view... I think.
Or maybe my brother's camera reversed the whole pic.

the sticker is gone or will be gone soon as I get home.. no idea what it says.. but its gone.

Can you recommend a bra for the car?... the front hood has paint chipped to the primer.. and I will either bra it, or have it painted or maybe replaced with Carbon Fiber... I do not know yet.
I like the rims, not sure if those are stock or not.

Thanks with any help you can offer determining the trim level of this prius.
170K miles, not bad, interior looks great.

This is either a 2004 or 2005, probably package 2.

    Why do you think it's a 2007?

Toyota Mechanic said its a 2007. Im getting the VIN ID in a few hours.. this should help figure out what level trim. But I am pretty sure its Trim level #2.

It's not a 2007. Unless it's salvaged and used 2004 and 2005 parts to repair it.

It's basically the same car, just a few extra things on the 2007, like a backup camera.

Doesn't really matter for $2500 I can set it on fire and walk away from it and not care.

I think the easiest road to revelation is to do as advised above and just plug in the VIN at the toyota website.

    But ultimately?
On a 10 year or older Prius....it is, what it is. Discover what you have...and hopefully just enjoy it. What trim level it may of been called at whatever point? Doesn't matter too much now.
What you have there....is a Prius.

Interior plastic surfaces are matte/smooth, not grooved. No chrome on the front grille, and missing passenger side HSD/hybrid badging. Cassette deck (yes, it's there below the main source buttons on the headend, notice the second eject button). Dark plastic around the brake lights.

Like others said, that car is a 2004 or 2005.

You guys are correct on the burgendish dash and the cassette deck... I have set an appointment with my optometrist. However, my brother is convinced its a 2007.

Have him take a picture of the manufacturing plate in the driver's door pillar. That will tell you.

Yeah, the production date on the door sticker will at least tell you which year it was built.

I'm sticking with my answer of 2005 Package 3 :p
