So, I am pulling out of my driveway as a family is getting out of their car to go to one of my neighbors. I have the windows open so I hear the man (who is pointing to my Prius) tell his wife, "that is one of those expensive hybrids, that you have to plug in at night". I was kind of in a hurry so I quickly told him that they start at about $21k, you don't plug them in EVER, and I get better than 50 miles to the gallon. His wife then says, wow - we should get one :)

At a BBQ in Az last week, when told that the Prius in the driveway was not a rental but our own car, my husband's nephew informed everyone that that is the car that got recalled because it catches on fire. Huh?!? We set him straight in a big way.

    "...catches on fire..."

    Pinto... Prius

Yeah, I can see how someone who is easily confused could get them mixed up.
