113 K miles on this beauty, bought it new.
Just read about this transaxle fluid. Where do I get it other than Toyota and how much do I need?
How about spark plugs? Probably time to change those also.
Any suggestions would be apreciated, conrad

The first thing you need is a copy of the owner's manual. Buy one from a dealer or online. It's full of stuff every owner must know.

The transaxle fluid is special as it baths the 550V MGs. Get it from Toyota. Yup, it's expensive. Yup, it's even more expensive when the junk you put in there causes the thing to fail!

You can only purchase Toyota ATF WS at a Toyota dealer's parts dept and you need 4 US quarts.

You need either NGK IFR5T11 or Denso SK16R11 iridium spark plugs (qty. 4). Not all iridium spark plugs are alike so I recommend you buy only the correct plugs.

Use the Toyota type WS ATF (although some are trying Redline, I wouldn't). The plugs are iridium and rated to last 100-120k miles. Your Prius should have had both coolant loops drained/refilled already ( and again every 50k miles thereafter) and consider a new PCV valve (a pain to get at in a Prius).

Compressed archives of the technical manual are at: http://www.selidori.com/tech/prius/DOC/

You want tech2004.rar for your 2005 Prius.
