I need an engine run indicator

    On my classic I had the Coastal engine run indicator. Now that I have my '05 I really miss it. I know Coastal announced one about a year ago but it's still vaporware. Does anybody know of anything similar I could buy?

    Alternatively, the old unit was simply a LED that tapped into the fuel pump lead which ran under the door sills on the passenger side. Does anybody know where I could find and how I could identify the corresponding wire on the new model?

    If you've never driven with one you might think it silly, but it really is an aid to better mileage.

    the instantaneous consumption bar chart on the nav system screen doesn't do it for you?

    works well for me on my '04....

    if it's a matter of taste, it's a matter of taste, but the function you're looking for is already there...
