I I'm trying to get my 2007 Prius back on the road after a deer hit.

I don't know what this piece does or is or if I should replace it any help is very much appreciated.
    Thanks!

So that's where the transducer is located, so if you cut it the alarm doesn't sound, or is that some other output device?

I don't think it has anything to do with the alarm. It's a relatively quiet beeper.

The alarm system has its own horn that's mounted behind the engine. It doesn't use the regular horn.

That piezo widget goes beep-beep when you hit the unlock button on the key fob.

That was some of the first nonsense I turned off with Techstream when I first brought my car home.

But even with that turned off, it still goes beep-beep-beep if I get out and close the door with the car on. (In a Gen 3, anyway.)
