If lithium is too slow this aluminum battery can charge in a minute

    OK yes I caught it on mashable but for those that think we won't get any battery breakthroughs here is another one.
    Stanford's aluminum battery fully charges in just one minute
    You still will want some old school lithium in a phev or bev though as the power density isn't there yet.

    But will it recharge daily for 10 years or power an Apple watch for more than 4 hours?

    Yes, they created a very safe battery that can charge fast and recharge 7500 times. Ten years daily is only 3650.

    As for an apple watch, this thing is heavier and takes more volume than lithium polymer. Apple wants the thinnest lightest rechargeable battery, so its not a good choice. 4 hours of time keeping no problem, but a apple watch needs a lot more time between charges and doesn't need to recharge fast. Now a an ipad. hmm. maybe
