OTHER than what you have now... which color would you choose.

NO FAIR picking the color you already have! We all know that the color you own is the BEST, what is SECOND BEST???

    No fair.

    I want a color that isn't listed.

I want a deep indigo....a deep blue that almost turns to violet but not quite.

You mean I have to limit myself to current colors? What if someday the Prius is made in my dream color?

    And no mention of interiors.

I would like a blue with a gray interior, but gray interior isn't offered for blue.

If tideland came with the grey/burgundy interior that would have been my first choice. I really like how, at least for me, it is hard to tell if it is green or grey. It is always changing depending on the light. I like to think of it more like gunmetal.

I would have rather had the blue. They had a blue the following week, though I think it was lower package.

Anyone want to trade a 2004 Salsa Red with 23K on it for a Seaside Pearl?
Better not, that would create havock on extended warranty and financing.

I voted for the Salsa in the poll, but we're getting a Silver (hopefully next week). I picked the color for our last car (Malibu), so wife gets to select this time <g>

DanMan32, our Seaside Pearl AM has 24K on it, and my SO has said the red is really nice! Maybe a roadtrip to Florida...we have friends and family somewhere on the east coast of Florida...do a little bartering...a little sun and surf...

Silver was my 1st choice, but the Seaside (her first choice, go figure) came in with the right package for us. Now a Silver AM tops the list for my SO. She's not at all hard to figure (sarcasm).

In compliance with the rules of this poll, since I don't already have a Prius, I picked the color I want, which is Tideland Pearl.

I saw a Tideland and a Seaside side by side at a dealership this week, ready for delivery to their respective new owners. The Seaside (blue) is nice, but much a brigher blue than I had imagined...reminicent of my first car, a 1972 Opel Rallye which had matte black hood and striping. The Tideland (green) is far more subtle than I thought, and like it even more, confirming that as my color preference.

I've only seen one other Prius ever...on a street in Hartford, in Driftwood, which was certainly a nice color as well, and would be my second choice at this point.

I hate white cars (I call them "nurse wagon white"). Interesting that the poll reflects at least a lack of interest in white as well.

I voted for Salsa Red (please don't tell my Tideland Pearl).

I'd take the black if it had a metalflake. I love both the red and blue, but took a silver because I had to have the gray interior...

I absolutely second that. My ideal combination would have been the Seaside Perl with the gray interior, however since that is not offered I went with the white exterior, since the interior color was more important to me than the exterior.

I want electrostatic paint that changes color according to my mood.

The longer I sit in a traffic jam, the redder it gets.

    Otherwise, various shades of blue...

I would want black with lightning on it.
You know how drag racers like black with flames shooting back from the front, well I want that with lightning instead of flames, with obvious implications.

I generally prefer a dark, charcoal interior (not sure about the "burgundy" part of that on the Prius) but it's not an overriding necessity for me.

I have a tan "Oak" interior on the truck which is nice. Prior to that, most of my vehicles have had a dark, charcoal interior.

No love for the super white? OK, I guess it is a boring color. I like blue, but like the others, prefer a indigo blue color. Picked white because it was on the lot with the package 6 I wanted. Also light color cars are more practical for Bakersfield, where the summer temps are often in the low 100s .

Thanks Finman, but I'd rather stick with package 9 (now sold as package 6). I've gotten fond of the NAV.

    Exactly my sentiments.

The Salsa Red is the first red I've ever seen on a car that I liked. Sort of a merlot color -- and like all the Prius "Pearl" colors, alters in different levels of sunlight.

Isn't the Seaside kind of, well, girly? I don't know if I've ever seen one in person, but I always get the impression it's "robin egg blue". The brochures and online samples do NOT give you a good idea of the colors, and of course seeing one in a dealership is mission impossible.

Edmonds.com puts in a "color adjustment" when you do used car pricing. The most neutral colors (rental car colors, I call them - Silver, Tan, medium blue) gave higher prices. Black was neutral, white took some dollars off. It sounds statistically accurate, but not necessarily individually so.

Wish I had seen a Tideland in person, sounds like a very cool color, not so flattering in the brochure.
