If you live in Missouri or Arkansas, you might find this beneficial so here goes.

My wife has a 2014 Prius and I've got a 2007. We've had a good experience with them. Months ago I met a guy who specializes in all things pertaining to a Prius.

This in itself got my attention since we owned one at the time, but what I learned from him since then helped us out in ways that were beyond my expectation.

Many don't know that there are one or two things about a gen 2 or gen 3 Prius, that if you know them, can make your car last MUCH longer.

Call it specialized knowledge, but when you recognize it, it's highly useful and can save a person thousands of dollars just by knowing and addressing one or two specifics.

I won't go into all the details here, but suffice it to say that we learned some valuable things about our cars that greatly extended their life.

It's also a great "find" when you learn about a mechanic and Prius expert that is honest and plain-spoken about what can actually help the car in the most lasting ways and not have the highest priority be about the business owner's wallet. We found that in Tim Jacob.

I now understand why some Prius owners would drive a long way to get to his shop in Golden Missouri.

(Golden is in southwest Missouri and not far from NW Arkansas.)

He's an expert in Prius battery reconditioning too, and has ways to save people money on that aspect of things.

Anyway, a few of those valuable Prius tips are listed on the Prius/hybrid page of his website and I'll leave a way to find that here in case it's useful to anyone reading.

You'll probably find it by looking up "Prius mechanic Golden MO" on Google or whatever. He goes by Jacob Automotive LLC.

I appreciate some of the questions and conversations people have shared on PriusChat, (you guys are great :)) so I thought I would add something that I would want to know about.
