Came across a good prius selling tool at, of course, the gm web site.
    GM Fuel Economy Calculator
Gives you all gm's current models and lets you compare to other manufatures including the jaw dropping prius.
Maybe gm wasn't thinking when they put it in the line up to try to be green.

Yes, I compared the Malibu hybrid to the Prius.

I had to compare the Prius to a Corvette since Volt wasn't on the list.:D I don't recall anyone here accusing GM of thinking.

I had to go in and change the price of gas to $3.15 so it would be more realistic.

Welcome to PriusChat, Oddest_raindrop! I noticed the GM Fuel Calculator last April. I'm glad GM has updated it. Still the same...

It does provide a different perspective: Gasoline could go to $9.34/gallon before it would cost as much to drive a Prius as it costs now to drive a Hummer. hmmm

I'm no programmer, but wouldn't be easy to change the gas price or make it adjust to the current average? That would make it a better and more accurate tool. Interestingly enough, TCH is $300 less a year based on $3.15 and Prius is $700 less per year than the Malibu Hybrid. Great news...you save $130 per year with the Malibu Hybrid over the regular Malibu (2 mpg improvement). Sign me up!

whats even funnier on driving habits, if i increase my speed to 65 mph, my efficiency goes UP!!...

i did 60 mph and 10% idling and fuel economy was 5% lower than it could be

at 65 mph and 10% fuel economy was 3.31% lower!!

You're telling me you can find a picture of a Prius? I'd be more than happy to take one for you; I passed a half-dozen of them on my way to work.

I tried a couple of different vehicles and I don't think any non-GM vehicle has a photo. Kinda silly.
